Dual(i)thmMerzbow 1. Vegan Bistro 2 - 11:41 2. Akanetori - 12:25 It seems like a new release just flew past us. The small label "REHORN" just released this album limited to only 40 copies in a printed wooden box with a sticker and art print. It seems you can get it through discogs, link here: www.discogs.com/Merzbow-DUALITHM/release/8084896My personal opinion, an EP is quite short in length, and with this level of packaging too, it doesn't seem worth the 99 Euros they are charging (plus shipping!)

Just got this! #18. The lathe cut is quiet and the mastering allows for full volume with good definition. I was really happy with this release. Granted it sort of seems for "the rabid Merzbow collector" which I have become over the last 15 years. It was cheaper than my copy of "Paradise Pachinko" and i bought that 13 years ago. I genuinely listen to noise EVERYDAY! That it exists as an expression is really a fantastic thing. "Vegan Bistro 2" is sparse and spurting. "Akanetori" is dense and menacing. What's not to love!

Glad to hear it's a good release. What's not to love? Well, that it's another short EP. As another longtime Merzbow enthusiast, you must have noticed (and have an opinion on) the slowing down on the release front in recent years. But as a rabid Merzbow collector perhaps the smaller releases don't irk you as much. Glad to hear your sentiment re: noise as a form of expression being a fantastic thing. Absolutely. Everything is possible and should be gradually uncovered by those open minded, intelligent and hard working enough to dare to charter unknown territories. Gesualdo, Beethoven, Debussy, Schoenberg, Charles Ives, Stravinsky, Bartok being earlier examples of this in music, not to mention many more since..

What's not to love is that it's so limited the price range is out of my reach, so unless it gets re-released somewhere, I'll probably never hear this stuff. Oh well.

Hello, does anyone know if Vegan Bistro uses the same material from the Pulse Vegan lathe cut thing? That was of course made to raise money for a vegan sandwich wagon!
