If "Merzphysics" and "Lowest Music & Arts 1980-1983" are not enough for you, i just found out that Soleilmoon has started the reissue of Merzbient. Now that in essence is not new information since i already posted the interview with Merzbow in which he said he was planning a reissue but this is actually more than what he planned. In the interview he said it was 15 CDs but now Soleilmoon has revealed that it will be a 18LP set. The announcement can be found on Soleilmoon's facebook page which is tied to their profile picture of a beautiful landscape. Now im not sure if this picture is from the set but i like watching it. Here is the link to the announcement. www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10150571766847261&set=a.10150571766827261.370168.64672972260&type=1&theaterSo, are you at all interested in any of the new boxsets appearing this year or any of the other releases from 2012? I personally would love to buy the Merzbient set because i like this "ambient" side but money is an issue for me at the moment.

18 LPs? Jesus, that'll be like $400 or something. And that doesn't include shipping D: I want the Gman//HJYUGTF2 tape that was released a little while ago, the cover art is really good. Plus it's cheap, so that's a bonus

The label just announced it and it sounds incredible. A true collector's piece to have in your collection if you can afford it. The set is 18Lps with 15 being the original version and the last 3 are previously unreleased material. Only 222 copies are made (and 3 test pressings) It costs more than three times what the original costed more or less if i recall correctly but i think it would so worth it to have the red vinyl. in my collection even though i cant really play vinyls XD Also, there is a sample posted. www.soleilmoon.com/mp3/11583.mp3

I actually like the sound of the sample alot, i never checked out merzbient before now... I cant justify getting one of the vinyl sets but if i was to find one of the CD versions on the cheap it might be a little bit tempting

I honestly don't know mate. I haven't looked at prices of it online. I can't remember what I paid for it either! Let me have a look around and I'll get back to you? Needless to say I'll cut you a fair deal!

it was original 80 bucks for the CD set Yeah. From my investigations, prices online vary from £57 ( cheapest on Discogs, but ships from Japan so you can add another £15 odd for shipping ) to £80 - £100. This guy takes the biscuit though - www.discogs.com/buy/CD/Merzbow-Merzbient/54494177?ev=bp_rel_det - $10000.00 / £6202.80!!! I would say £45 plus postage. Mint condition, complete with the die cast metal plaque.

hmmmm, that does seem like a good deal, I might have to leave it for a little bit though cos thinking about it i have a bit of an expensive month ahead of me, car insurance and all the rest of it :/ but cheers man! ill get back to you if im feeling a bit impulsive after all thats been dealt with and that guy is ridiculous haha, im a bit careful with discogs sometimes, its great but now and again you get some odd stuff on there... real shifty fellas claiming things are rare and out of print when you can get it direct from the label for like £3 etc

It's incredible sometimes on there. Similar to eBay too, there is no point putting things on for a stupid price when you can still but the item from source. Thing is it seems most people don't realise, and items that are readily available after a brief Internet search end up going for a lot more than they should have. Wacky! No worries mate, let me know if you do want it, and likewise I'll let you know if / when it goes on eBay.
