...and the award for the most ridiculous forum thread goes to... nah, seriously though, I've been thinking about this for a little while... With such a massive discography, if there was to be one Merzbow track which stuck out above all the rest, either something which just summarizes everything he does, or maybe something which shows more of a recognisable structure, or possibly iconic within his discography for a different reason... what would be his 'Hit Single' ? I reckon tracks like... Takemitsu Slave New Desart Hummingbird ?

I would argue that Shadow Barbarian is more accessible. Certainly not "Hit" friendly, but more accessible than Promotion Man. Promotion Man gets all noisy, and Shadow Barbarian doesn't so much; it's probably his most musical work.

I still haven't really checked out Merzbeat properly, I'll make that next on my list... ittl make a nice change since the last 2 CDs I got hold of were Venereology and Tauromachine
