"Mer Mar" 1- Mar - 20:32 2- Mer - 19:38 Well, the first release of the year... sort of. Its scheduled for release on March 13 and we all know merzbow could even put another 13 Japanese Birds while we wait but yeah, this is the closest Merzbow release we have for the time beign. "Mer Mar" is a split with artist Marhaug (i havent heard of him before but that is not surprising). It seems they have already collaborated in the past (again, i didnt knew that but that is not surprising). Anyways, the album was recorded on 2010 and the cover looks amazing. Its like chinese (or japanese) caligraphy gone horribly wrong, at least thats how i see it. "Made using a combination of scrap metal screeching; analogue synths; and enough effect pedals to give you overweight with most airline companies, ‘Mer Mar’ is a tour de force for both of these noise veterans, hinting to some classic 80s Merzbow jams such as Material Action." Pre-order the album here: Are we starting 2012 with the right foot or what? ;D ;D

Looks interesting and that cover art is quite striking I only have one split release from merzbow, i'd love to get more but they all seem to be a tad on the expensive side of things.

it does seem that Europe releases have been getting more expensive.
Maybe in a couple of weeks we can see it on Amazon or somewhere else where its cheaper
