Good news folks. Old Europa Cafe are to put out a new 2CD album 'Hermerzaphrodites' in April. - An unusual MERZBOW double CD album. Two very different CD's boundedin one unique album: § On one disc sounds are more "Ambient Style" with a free piano and many field recordings, far and rumbling rythms and rumours (The Piano Lento ma non Troppo Madness) § On other disc sounds are explong deep into "Poly-Rhythmic's", continuosly beating & popping plus additionall sqeezeing & exploding sounds (The Pop-Corn Psychedelia), to me this is the soundtrack for a new psychedelic dance. A different & very intriguing "MERZBOW / HERMAPHRODITIC" sound. Special "Hermaphriditic" art-work by Lilian Pelizzari Giust. Six panels digipak full of colours & hermaphroditic images for a complete psychedelic experience. Tracklist: CD 1 1. (Merzsword 1) Bite of Salt Water CD 2 1. (Merzsword R2) Morpheus Ambition 2. (Merzsword 3) Albatros - Short clip on the OEC website, sounds interesting! Nice colourful artwork too. Looking forward to this one www.oldeuropacafe.com/catalog/category/hermerzaphrodites.html

This album gets released today. I really want to hear it but it's another that needs to be picked up by distributors, I respectfully declined the £12 postage cost for one album. Let's play the waiting game.

Same here - the postage from this label was so excessive it scared me off. I'm sure these will start to appear from other sellers soon.

Managed to get one... The German online store deejaydead.com stocks them, including postage it's cheaper than getting it direct from OEC... not by a huge amount in all honesty but I got impatient. On the plus side, I was amazed by how quickly it got here, ordered on Monday night and it arrived today (Thursday). I've only had a first listen of it but it's the biggest head-scratcher of an album. The first disc is a little long-winded with a strange departure in sound that mostly revolves around piano loops. As I got further into the incredibly abrasive rumbling/percussive sounding second disc though I really grew to like what I was hearing.
