In my opinion, I don't like the old covers. At least the ones that are pornographic. What do you think about them?

I guess the early 80s ones were somewhat limited to what he could produce quickly and on the cheap... so there's a lot of coloured paper and photocopied imagery. With regards to the pornography, it kind of is what it is, including it was all part of the 'Merzbow project' at the time. I do like some of the imagery from the earlier albums... for some reason the slightly gory cover for 'mechanization takes command' always stuck in my head... it reminds me of an early hardcore punk album. Some of the scratchy sort of abstract and colourful art from later 80's/ early 90s albums works well too in my opinion, its a representation of the music that doesnt distract from it.

I love the early covers, except the pornography ones. Don't get me wrong, Venerology and Rainbow Electronics are great covers. Even some of his early cassettes are cool. Just the ones like Music For Bondage or Pornoise 1k/g
